PLASTIC POLLUTION IN KENYA

We all know that plastic is problem for our environment. We need to reduce our reliance on it and in the meantime, find better ways to dispose of it, or better still, reuse it.

But while we in the West and slowly beginning to take the plastic problem seriously, many developing world countries still rely on it and their use is continuing to increase.

ABOUT WORD FOREST

The Word Forest Organisation is a small, Dorset based charity that plants trees, builds schools, facilitates education and supports women’s empowerment in rural Kenya. Aside from the building, they do much the same in the UK but on a smaller scale. They’re mitigating climate chaos by raising critical funds from straightforward donations, memberships, via their ethical charity shop and with funky, page-turning eCards. Their documentary, #TreesAreTheKey narrated by Kate Winslet shows their positive impact in action.
