THE DECLINE OF BIODIVERSITY

Our biodiversity is declining at an ever increasing rate. In the last 30 years we’ve lost over 6000 species – and they are just the one we know about.

Biodiversity isn’t just ‘nice to have’ – it’s essential for our survival and the more species we kill off, the closer we move towards our own extinction.

ABOUT WORD FOREST

The Word Forest Organisation is a small, Dorset based charity that plants trees, builds schools, facilitates education and supports women’s empowerment in rural Kenya. Aside from the building, they do much the same in the UK but on a smaller scale. They’re mitigating climate chaos by raising critical funds from straightforward donations, memberships, via their ethical charity shop and with funky, page-turning eCards. Their documentary, #TreesAreTheKey narrated by Kate Winslet shows their positive impact in action.
