Mycorrhizals could hold the answer to regenerating degraded land simply by growing plants on it. Mycorrhizal is the symbiotic relationship between plant roots and fungi in the soil. Dr Miroslav Vosatka from the botany dept of The Academy of Science in the Czech Republic is an expert in the applications of this area of micro-biology.
