US President Barack Obama has admitted disappointment in his party’s losses during midterm elections – but vowed to work with the newly-powerful Republicans. He indicated that he was ready to make compromises with Republicans over key domestic issues like energy policy and taxation. The Republican party has taken commanding control of the House of Representatives, while the Democrats were able to maintain a slim majority in the Senate. Kate Moody reports from Washington.
