Joseph Murumbi was the first Foreign Affairs Minster for Kenya and the country’s second Vice President, but he resigned his position after only a few months as he was unhappy about the direction the government was taking. So instead he devoted his life to collecting and preserving items from Africa’s heritage. His collection can now be seen in the Murumbi African Heritage Museum in Nairobi.
