Most projections suggest that demand for oil will outstrip supply by 2030, and this is generally talked about in terms of peak oil or our oil reserves beginning to run out. But Professor Paul Stevens, senior research fellow at Chatham House doesn’t believe that it has anything to do with lack of oil in the ground, instead its all about lack of investment on behalf of the international oil companies and the governments of oil producing nations.
