MIRRORS IN THE DESERT

A large number of mirrors, in the desert, concentrating sunlight by focusing it all in place, can produce huge quantities of heat. This heat can then be used to heat water to produce steam which turns a turbine which produces electricity – from an entirely renewable resource. And its not science fiction, according to Dr Gery Wolf from TREC-UK it not only has huge potential – its already being used.
