Over 80million tonnes of nitrogen is used in agriculture each year. A huge proportion of this runs off the crops causing a massive environmental problem – in particular polluting waterways and encouraging the growth of large algae blooms. But a new technology hopes to change this. Pete Blezard is Chief Executive of Plant Impact.
